Jessica I. Sawyer

OVERVIEW AND EXPERIENCE

Jessica grew up in Upstate New York and moved to New Orleans in 2015. She attended SUNY Geneseo for undergrad, graduating cum laude. She attended Tulane University Law School and graduated in 2020. While at Tulane Law, Jessica was the President of the Health Law and Disability organization and a law student member of the Louisiana State Bar Association Legal Services for Persons with Disabilities Committee. Jessica was also a student practitioner in the Juvenile Law Clinic while in law school, providing representation for juveniles involved in the criminal legal system. At graduation, Jessica received the Jackson-Ryan Pro Bono Advocate award and the Brian McSherry award. After graduation Jessica was awarded the Lutz Fellowship through Tulane Law, where she worked with a local non-profit organization on housing related issues.

Jessica joined the firm in 2023 and focuses on insurance coverage, bad faith, and third-party liability. Jessica is licensed to practice in all Louisiana State and Federal Courts. She is also a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association’s Legal Services for Persons with Disabilities Committee, a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association, and a member of the New Orleans Chapter of the Federal Bar Association.
