M. Kathryn Mitchell

OVERVIEW AND EXPERIENCE

Kathryn Mitchell is an associate at the New Orleans office of Lobman, Carnahan, Batt, Angelle, and Nader. Kathryn joined the firm in 2022 and practices primarily in the areas of insurance defense and general civil litigation. Prior to her time at Lobman Carnahan, Kathryn obtained experience in the field of insurance defense on the behalf of various organizations.

Kathryn was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and raised in Lafayette, Louisiana. She attended Spring Hill College, graduating in 2018 with a B.S. in Psychology, where she graduated Cum Laude. She went on to graduate from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law in 2021.

While at Loyola, Kathryn was a member of the Trial Advocacy team. While serving on the Trial Advocacy team, she competed in the Texas Young Lawyers Association’s National Trial Team. Additionally, she was a member of the Student Bar Association, the Alternative Dispute Resolution Society, American Constitution Society, American Bar Association, Animal Legal Aid Society, the Mentor Program, and the Federal Bar Association. She received high marks in numerous classes, including the courses for legal research, writing, and appellate argument.

Kathryn is admitted to all Louisiana state courts, and she is a member of the New Orleans Bar Association and the Louisiana Bar Association.
