OVERVIEW AND EXPERIENCE
Joshua Lesser is an associate in the New Orleans office of Lobman, Carnahan, Batt, Angelle & Nader. Born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana, Josh joined the firm in 2017 and practices primarily in the general liability insurance defense, commercial general liability (CGL) insurance defense, corporate charters, contract disputes and commercial lease groups. Josh is admitted to the Louisiana State Bar, 2016; the U.S. District Court for the Eastern, Western, and Middle Districts of Louisiana, 2016; and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, 2016.
Josh earned his B.A. from the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) in 2013 before returning home to New Orleans to attend Tulane Law School. Josh graduated from Tulane Law School in 2016 cum laude (top-15%) and with a Certificate in Civil Law. While at Tulane Law, Josh served as a Justice and Appellate Chair of the Moot Court Board and was a member of the PACE National Environmental Law Appellate Moot Court Team, where he placed in the semi-finals while competing in White Plains, NY. Josh was also a Pro-Bono Extern for the Animal Legal Defense Fund, as well as the Gulf Restoration Network, a New Orleans-based non-profit group that works to preserve Louisiana’s rich habitat and wildlife. While in law school, Josh was awarded the Tulane Law Dean’s Award, the Rufus C. Harris Award, and two CALI Excellence for the Future Awards for receiving the best grade in the class in Electronic Discovery and Digital Evidence as well as Securities Regulation.
